you'll probably tell me that Emacs already does this

In the future, my text editor will have an option to make it think of camelCaps and underscores_in_identifiers as word boundaries.

How useful would that be for you?

Oddly enough, Eclipse does this (when using the Ctrl key).

Ah, thanks for the heads-up! Do you like that behavior? Can you turn it off if you want?

(it doesn't seem to do that in the Mac version, but then again, cmd-arrow just goes to the edge of the line for me. I'll try it on the Linux soon!)

I think it is the "Smart caret positioning in Java names" option.
